Who we are

The controller is Insane Flowers, Jacqueline Vonk, Krelis Annesstraat 11, 9078 VJ Oudebildtzijl, the Netherlands, e-mail: info@insaneflowers.com. We handle your data with care and collect no more than necessary.

What data we process, and why

  • Orders: name, e-mail address, delivery address and order details, to process and ship your order (performance of contract) and for our accounts (legal obligation).
  • Contact form, bespoke requests and withdrawals: name, e-mail address and your message, to handle your question or request.
  • Protection against abuse: we only keep an encrypted (hashed) version of your IP address, for no more than 24 hours, to limit spam and abuse of forms (legitimate interest).

Payments

Payments are handled by Mollie B.V. in Amsterdam. Mollie receives your name, address, e-mail address and the order lines. You enter your payment details, such as card or bank details, directly with Mollie; we never see or store them.

If you choose to pay with Klarna at Mollie, Klarna Bank AB (publ) in Stockholm receives your name, address, e-mail address and the order lines via Mollie. Klarna uses these details for purposes including identity and credit checks and is itself responsible for doing so. Please read the Klarna privacy notice.

Who we share data with

  • Mollie B.V., for payment
  • Klarna Bank AB (publ), if you pay with Klarna
  • PostNL or another carrier, name and delivery address only, for delivery

We never sell, rent or trade your data.

Cookies, storage and external services

  • One necessary session cookie (if_session), so that forms work securely. It is removed when you close your browser.
  • Your cart is stored only in your own browser (local storage), not on our server.
  • No cookies for statistics, tracking or advertising.
  • No external fonts, scripts or images: everything is served from our own server.

Reviews

If you write a review after your order via the personal link we send you, we publish, with your consent, your review, the name and town you enter and, if provided, your photo on our website. We automatically remove all hidden data from photos, such as the location where the photo was taken. You can always have your review changed or removed via info@insaneflowers.com.

Visitor statistics

To see how our website is used, we measure visits with our own software on our own server. We record which pages are viewed and for how long, which website you came from, your browser's language setting and your screen width. We do not set cookies for this, store nothing in your browser and keep no IP addresses. To group visits from the same day, we create a code from your IP address and browser using a key that is replaced every day and then deleted; after that, the code can no longer be traced back to you. We share this data with no one and keep it for no more than 13 months. We do this on the basis of our legitimate interest in improving our website. If you have enabled "Do Not Track" in your browser, we measure nothing.

Where your data is stored

The website, the database and our e-mail run on our own servers in the Netherlands. All connections are encrypted (HTTPS).

How long we keep data

  • Order data: 7 years (tax retention requirement)
  • Messages and requests: up to 2 years
  • Hashed IP addresses: up to 24 hours

Your rights

You have the right to access, rectification, erasure, restriction of processing, data portability and to object. To exercise these rights, e-mail info@insaneflowers.com; we will respond within 30 days.

Complaints

If you have a complaint about how we handle your data, please contact us first. You may also lodge a complaint with the Dutch Data Protection Authority (autoriteitpersoonsgegevens.nl) or the supervisory authority in your own country.

Changes

We may update this privacy policy. The date at the top shows when it was last changed.
